I am minoring in ASL and have a stutter. I found that if I finger spell during speaking it made the sounds come out more smoothly then without it. It keeps up the ASL practice while still speaking. Now that I have ended my ASL classes I’ve found that I am losing my sign bc it’s something you need to keep up. It’s difficult to keep it up! But I wouldn’t refrain from talking by learning sign! But it sure helps when you’re tired of speaking
