I understand, that makes sense. The thing is, psychologists SHOULD ideally be having a certain degree of knowledge about stuttering and its socio-emotional aspects, just as they usually have about other neurodevelopmental conditions. Stuttering is in the DSM after all! But we usually find that they don't, and it is not taken as seriously as these other conditions. Any thoughts on why that is so, and why stuttering is set apart so blatantly?
