But I don't want people to take the extra step to be nice and patient to me. I want them to treat me like an equal. >People can be sympathetic because they're just nice people. It doesn't necessarily mean they think less of you. Ok fair point. It doesn't necessarily mean that but still I think a good chunk of people do think less of you. >Is this topic something you discuss with other people (around you)? Like, what if you're making stuff up that's not there? I could but they don't get it. I have so much more productive conversations on reddit with people like yourself.
