With stuttering, it’s very hard to tell jokes or stories because blocks can kill the momentum. This can be very frustrating with it happening repeatedly. I experience this when I’m in class and want to participate or tell a story or even just talk with friends. I know when I can’t or I block and I say forget about it. It’s frustrating never being able to express yourself so the frustration builds and sometimes the bubble burst. There’s no one to be angry at so it seems like we can only blame and take out our frustration on ourselves. He yells because he just wants to stop and do normal, trivial things like talk but it’s so difficult. He begins to yell at himself and reveals that he use to hit himself and try so hard to stop but he can’t control it. I use to do the same thing because I always felt like it’s my fault and felt like I deserved it.
