>I stutter in my thoughts and dreams. I can tell which words I'm going to struggle with before I even speak them. Sometimes I don't stutter in my dreams. Definitely bizarre, it's the phenomenon of associating anticipatory sensations to 'not breathing out' or 'not moving our tongue'! If we don't speak, then we are able to breathe out and move our tongue/jaw. But if we are speaking a feared letter or speak with anticipatory fear, then we panic (fight flight **freeze**) so we stop breathing out or stop moving our tongue during a speech block. [This diagram](https://i.imgur.com/APYa1Dg.png) explains this process in more detail.
