I see a lot of people struggling with comfortable employment, thought of driving a taxi? so I stutter, enough that it's noticeable but not bad enough to the point where all my friends and family don't see what the big deal is (ugh, hate that).phones are especially difficult to manage.I've worked at blockbuster, grocery stores, and other basic jobs where I could avoid people but then I took a chance and dove in and became an insurance salesman.I didn't like the job overall but it forced me to work my ass off to create and memorize an augmented script and force my way through things but overall it just wasn't gonna happen.a bad day would put so much stress on me I'd fall apart across from a steel worker. then I turned 25 and it hit me. two words: cab driving. half the time your alone and the other 75 percent of the time you don't have to say anything besides a rehearsed canned "going to xyz? Ok, here we go" or whatever phrasing you come up with and at night around casual people you can swear (which helps more) and talk much more casually and I know I HATE hearing this but it's true,a lot of woman think it's cute and I've met a lot of girls in my taxi for sure.I started driving two years ago and while it's not the most fulfilling job ever it allows me so much control and confidence not to mention 700-1000 a week or more, it's very ideal for right now. btw I'm college educated but....yeah, you know that's not a cure for anything.like I said it's not for forever but it is for right now.
