A few things happen to me: 1. All of a sudden I feel tension in my body. A sign that I need to breathe deeply and relax more. 2. When I constantly repeat certain sentences and scenarios in my head. Trying to convince myself that these things are going to happen. It shows that I'm less aware of the present moment. 3. When I'm looking around at other things in the room. Knowing that I'm hardly focused on speaking at all. To combat all of these I breathe deeply; try be present in the moment and focus on the person in front of me. That way I can talk in whichever way feels most comfortable - slowly.
