Exactly! I have similar thoughts about how stuttering is approached in India. If you've noticed, Psychologists (or even psychiatrists) consider themselves a significant part of the treatment process in other neurodevelopmental conditions like autism or ADHD, and they contribute to it academically as well. Stuttering actually has deep Psychological/Psychiatric co-morbidities that should ideally be addressed both clinically and academically by mental health experts, but we almost never see it happening! Stuttering is as much the concern of the Psychologist as it is of the SLP.
