This vocal tone is heard as a Buzzing sound, then it is mixed with the persons voice by the device. This effect reduces muscle tension on the 'Vocal Folds' and automatically improves the coordination of the speech muscles involved. This, in turn, 'teaches' the user to improve stuttering speech. The use of DMAF technology prove to be superior over DAF technology. There are empirical statements here with no scholarly support or science behind them. The website says it's a tool for the permanent alleviation of stuttering, but does not cite any proof of that. Given the substantial cost of the device (nearly $3000) potential customers deserve much much more. While DAF has its limitations at least there is scholarly support for its use. If this is so great then the company needs to work with a researcher to prove its effectiveness.
