It's a permanent feeling of outside looking in. Everybody struggles to some degree with finding their own and becoming comfortable with who they are, but adding an extra element of physically not being able to be like everyone else, especially with something as universally used and needed as speaking, takes a real toll on you. I have no more advice than all the usual clichés you always hear, but I can absolutely understand and sympathize with what you're feeling.
