Sometimes you have to be rude (or a smart ass) especially if the other person is rude. With a supervisor, I've told them I don't appreciate the comments and jokes about the way I talk. A few, fine I can go with it. I can usually joke about it. Constant, every shift, no it needs to stop. I had a supervisor try and give me special treatment, thinking he was helping me out. I told him speaking is part of my job so I'll deal with it, and do it just like everyone else does. Most co-workers will stop after you speak up. The ones that don't/won't, are just assholes with nothing better to do. The best they can come up with is about the way you talk. Big person they are. Try not to focus on them and go about your day. And I've literally told people to fuck off. I work construction/maintenance so have to have that stand your ground mentality. Not sure your age but I've noticed that the older I get, the less I care what others say. They're not worth my time.
