I've taken methylphenidate (Ritalin) and currently take modafinil (provigil) for a different condition. Neither one had an appreciable effect on my stuttering. Perhaps if there was a large study there may be some effect out there, but I haven't noticed any difference between the days I take it and the days I don't.
