I have stuttered for 50+ years now. My experience is that many insecure people have found that belittling someone else makes them feel powerful (in the moment) and that may fuel their self esteem or ego. And it doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with stuttering. It’s just some people can only feel good about themselves by making someone else feel bad.
