Early childhood educator who finally addressed my own stutter in midlife. Mom/Dad, you are doing/thinking the right things for your kiddo. Please be very aware that many SLPs have near zero training/success in helping people/children who stutter. because their well-intentioned interventions are actually designed for articulation/grammar/swallowing struggles, it can actually worsen things for a stutterer. I found a free podcast by a SLP trained in dysfluency, who is also a PWS, and I made all the difference. You can do a few sessions in telehealth as well (it’s not cheap). The sooner it’s addressed, the better the outcome, and this is the perfect time. Tim Mackesey https://www.stuttering-specialist.com
