You might also keep reminding him that it's not his fault, and that it's nothing to be afraid of (it's just a stutter, after all), but that depends on how he takes it, going forward. If you look around in here (the subreddit), you'll see plenty of cases where people have gotten the wrong ideas over the years - but understandably so, of course. It's a tough thing to carry around. If we can help alleviate it early, it won't be so tough.
