I get it, but this is also something get better at progressively. Next time you will race your friends to joke about it. Younger people are perfect for practice because they have less expectations on how people talk, and if they notice stutter, they often will politely ask about it. When talking to my kids and their friends I often think of role-playing a type of parent, playing with my voice a bit to sound more patient, curious or authorative, which gives a nice boost in fluency. Also it slows me down a bit, making it easier for them to understand. It's a win win :)
