First step asume you are going to stutter in front of them. There is nothing wrong about it, and if they are family, they probably already know ;). The big milestone is learning to be confortable with your stutter and this is why: Most people don't know what's going on when you stutter so they "read" you. Your non-verbal language is full anxiety and discomfort and they react more to that than to your stutter. When you are confortable with it, your non-verbal is very different and it really help to deliver the mensaje you want. I know it's not easy; it takes a lot of practice, but family are a good group of people to start practicing this. Focus on controling your emotions, not your speech. Hope it helps!
