How do I socialize while having a stutter

How do I socialize while having a stutter Hello, I recently moved to Sydney for my University. And because of my stuttering i cannot properly socialize in University. For this i somewhat stay silent most of the time in room or a in a room full of people. How do i start socializing. I dont wanna make things awkward between anyone. Please help me.
