I should clarify that my "let's see what works" comment referred specifically to strategies and techniques work best for the client, since it's not the same for everyone. I think you put it much better though :) I'm curious to learn more about what you mean by your last statement. What aspects of treatment have led you to feel this way? This is all important feedback and I appreciate your comments. I've have good experience working with children who stutter and have felt that it was something I was good at, but I understand it may not translate as well working with adults, which is good to keep in mind. In terms of the BCS-FCS, there are very few SLPs who have that certification in my state. While it would be valuable to have, it's a multiyear process that isn't in the cards for me right now.
