Stuttering when excited?

Stuttering when excited? First off I just want to say that my general fluency level is pretty high. On a scale of 1-10 I'd say on my best days I'm a 7, or even an 8. But I still struggle with stuttering and those dread syllables like t's, s's, c's, k's, w's (I hate them! the worst!) etc. I can't really say that I go a day without stuttering, however. Anyway, one thing I noticed is that when I'm excited, I tend to stutter way more. For example, I can be around a close friend, someone that I've known for years and am completely comfortable with, and I will be telling them a story. It could be something funny that happened to me or something I saw on a tv show. But if I'm excited when telling the story, I tend to stutter more. For example I'd say "Y-y-y-y-you w-w-w-wanna know w-w-what happened to me today?" Then I tell the story and I stutter throughout. I've read a lot about stuttering and I've read that people tend to stutter more when anxious or under high stress. But in the aforementioned situation, I'm not anxious or under stress at all, just excited or happy to tell the story. Does anyone else experience this? I've constantly seen stuttering associated with negative emotions, but not positive ones.
