It helped me a ton. I went about 13 years ago, I went through a government agency called "Vocational Rehab" and they paid for me to get speech therapy at the local university(Purdue). I went for about a year, and while there's no cure, so many of the techniques I learned there I still use today. Reading the other replies it's definitely not a 100% thing, but if you can make it work I think it's worth a shot. Go in with an open mind and see what they can do for you.
