I thought the stat that u/Little_Achanthaceae87 shared the other day was pretty jarring… >There is a very high suicidal ideation rate among people who stutter - 67.9% - in a research study (2023) by Yaruss and Seth, while the suicidal ideation is 2.0% in non-stutterers. That says *a lot*. The general public, in my opinion, think stuttering is just ‘having a trouble getting your words out’. It’s life-limiting and therefore a disability imo.
