I think you are getting downvotes only because this is a highly polarized & emotional subject. I've seen quite a few posts here about the debate to have kids despite the strong possibility of passing down the stutter. There will always be people who are more optimistic, and despite they themselves suffering with the stutter/other disabilities, they still think life is beautiful and feel a calling to become a biological parent. They still think life is very much worth it, despite the challenges of a (usually) lifelong stutter. Then there are those here who think it's very unethical to knowingly take the risk, given the strong chance your child might inherit it. So that's why it's kinda a toxic debate with no right or wrong take since it's just such a personal thing.
