I started a new, work from home job back in August. In my first company wide google meet meeting, all of the new hires had to introduce themselves. We had to say our name, location, what we had learned so far and one word to describe ourselves. Someone from HR (who is fantastic) reached out to me before to see if I wanted him to do my intro for me. Which in itself was a nice gesture. I declined, because I thought that would be more awkward than me just doing it myself. After the meeting, a different HR person reached out to me and told me that I was seen, understood and that she was proud of me. It was such a kind thing to do. That’s the nicest reaction I’ve ever gotten
