Assuming you're in high school, I can understand not wanting to stick out, but I wonder if the opposite is being isolated. It's easier but lonely. The kind of people who will let you work through expressing yourself are the better friends. They will notice you are probably a better listener as a consequence of your stutter too. Maybe focus on saying little, but saying it well.
