If you haven't already, take a public speaking class. Once I realized that *everyone*, even those who spoke fluently, feared it I finally felt like I was on an even playing field and it was really empowering. Once I got used to it, I realized that speaking to groups is not really difficult at all, even when I stutter. This is one of the things that really helped me start to stutter with confidence. Also, find a good therapist - both for your speech and your brain.
