I would also advise you to talk openly about your stutter. Sometimes it happens that this is taking a big pressure from you and maybe you will be able to talk quite fluently while you are explaining it ... so that it might lead more to a reaction like: "Oh really? I wouldn't have realized that you have a speech impediment". Happened to me several times. Whenever I talked to teachers that I can't do a presentation in front of the class because of my stutter, I would immediately talk fluently so that it seemed ridiculous to worry about it :D.
