I'm a journalist, and I have to interview people on the phone or participate in teleconferences fairly often. Just last week I was on the phone with a company talking about their new product, and I was a nervous wreck before the phone call, like butterflies in the stomach feel like I'm gonna throw up kind of nervous. It always happens. The funny part - I'm totally fine once I start talking on the phone. Sure, I may stutter a bit here or there, but the people on the other end never seem to care or notice. Despite that, I go into full panic mode any day that I have to take a phone call.
