It has already been scientifically proven that the root cause of stuttering is not of an emotional nature. It has been scientifically proven that there are genetic links among stutterers. These are two facts, and when I say 'fact', I mean that it can be backed up by actual, documented, tangible scientific and statistical evidence. What we *don't know* is what the exact cause of stuttering is, and this is, I assume, what you mean by scientists 'contradicting' one another, as there have been many theories tossed around and explored. But posing a theory and making an effort to prove or disprove it is different from having factual evidence, and that's what's important to distinguish. Even you seem to be mixing the two up. That's not a constructive thing to do. In some cases, it's harmful. There's nothing wrong with setting the record straight.
