I feel the same way. I’m no longer super hard on myself for my stutter as I was in school. I’m still on the quieter side but I don’t avoid interaction like I used to. If you don’t mind me asking, how is your speech with your son? I’m 30 and I have a 5 month old son, I feel like my speech has improved a lot over the years but I still have some of the insecurities from childhood about it and that’s turned in to worrying about what my son might think if I have bad stuttering day? I’m thinking it’s just me being in my own head (which I tend to do) but I don’t really have any experience with stuttering as an adult around kids, so my default thought is to go back to being in school.
