It might help to join a club that has roles that you can sign up for and take on at their meetings. It could be as simple as greeting new people to the club or leading ice breaker games. I know there are Christian clubs such as “Bridges International Club” or “Cru” that operate in this way. Or join the debate team to learn assertiveness and gain confidence by being able to prepare content for debates. Also, maybe stop listening to music at school. I think you’re using it almost like a cop-out to socializing, which I did in high school too. I thought that if I put on music that made me feel good or cool then I would feel like I had no reason to want to socialize with others. But this is just a defense mechanism to not deal with the fear of socializing. And maybe look around and think, who do I wanna talk with? Maybe it’s a girl, maybe it’s a group of international students. Or athletes? Try to go talk to who you actually wanna talk to because it will make you feel like you’re doing something enjoyable and motivating
