Creating a group dedicated to helping each other overcome their stutter. Hey, my name is Caleb. I've had a stutter my entire life. As a kid, it didn't really affect how I interacted with people or my disposition towards social interaction. As I got older though, I found myself getting more self conscious about my stutter, eventually leading to the destruction of my social life. Even talking to family members and close friends has become a chore. I'm not going to get into my whole life story, but I just wanted to give a background as a foundation for this group. I'm looking for anyone who has a stutter and wishes to change it, or just wants to talk to others who have a issue with their speech. The goal you have is your own to achieve within the group, if you want, of course. My goal is to get comfortable with social interaction again, and hopefully start to improve my speech to a point where it's not debilitating to my life. I'm sure a lot of you wish the same for yourselves. Probably creating a group on skype is best, or if you guys have any other suggestions, I'm open to them. Maybe eventually actually give out phone numbers once people start to get to know each other. Anyways, my hope is to get enough people in the group to where if a person wants to practice their speech, they can do so with others for hours at a time, if they are that dedicated to improving. I'm looking forward to meeting you guys and getting feedback.
