Desensitization requires a form of acceptance and letting go! Actively unlearn the NEED for reflexive, error-driven/compensatory responses during a stutter block (to say the word or sound) You can use control to help your speaking — but constantly correcting yourself in the moment can become its own habit *❅Nonstop compensating keeps you stuck in a cycle of correction--❅* If we intentionally (and actively) unlearn these reflexive, error-driven reactions, we lower the need to micromanage speech. As those habits soften, speaking shifts toward more natural, subconscious fluency (over controlled fluency). Yes indeed, this still requires mindful practice: so speech should not be **totally unconscious**. By actively addressing the **NEED** to rely on compensatory/error adaptations to say the words and sounds — our subconscious may become less strict about when to allow speech to proceed during a stuttering block *Desensitization requires a form of acceptance and letting go!* *❅❅* *Today I created these two STUTTER images. Enjoy them to the fullest!
