Feeling Overwhelmed and Lost/Sad Good evening everyone! I (22 F) have been attending speech therapy for the past two months, and it has really made a difference in my life. However, I had a respiratory infection last week, and I did not consistently practice my speech therapy strategies. While I had my respiratory infection, I was blocking very bad (almost as severe when I started speech therapy). Now that I no longer have the respiratory infection (I was also diagnosed with asthma this past Friday, but the asthma is not severe), I practice my speech therapy strategies (passive airflow, diaphragmatic breathing) I find myself not doing it as well as I did before. I feel like this is a combination of my impatience/wanting to "perfectly" practice my strategies, and having this fear that I'll go back to severe blocking.
