It's awkward... true. But don't let it get you. And that's easy to say, I know. But try it. It's their problem if they can't handle it. A year ago my husband and I are watching at the tv and someone stutters. A few people around her laughed. I sad it's not funny. But my husband sad that maybe they don't know how to react, that they are nervous and that's why they laughed. And maybe he was right, I don't know. But it kept me tinking... A lot of people don't know about stuttering. Don't know how to react. My experience is that if you mention it that you have a stutter it makes it a lot easier. Now I keep more eye contact when I have a block (I couldn't always do that though) I more and more see reactions on peoples faces if I block. Lifting an eye brow, a smile. But it bothers me nothing. I can imagine it though.
