I’ve worked a job taking orders at an ice cream place, and also answering phone calls for a car dealership, I also just started working as a server(kinda scary Ngl). I used to absolutely freak out when I saw the total for an order started with 11, I would be making food just thinking worrying about saying it. The first thing that really helped me was breathing out while saying the total, or saying it as I opened the order window. This helped immensely, that’s when I realized If I speak/act kind of lazy and unbothered, it helps me calm down a lot. Even though I wasn’t actually lazy, the “fake it till you make it” mindset eventually took over and I actually started to preoccupy my mind and think about other things while I gave the total(plus acting lazy somehow gave me a boost of extra swagger lol). This I think is the key to not stuttering for me, genuinely not thinking about what I’m saying. I don’t mean to give unsolicited advice and everyone has their own methods anyways, but try sighing real big before/as you answer an anticipated phone call, it really helped me
