I used to go back and forth about wanting to get married simply because the idea of saying my vows out loud, and yes I always wondered if having children would be irresponsible. BUT I met someone who I wanted to marry and have children with, and 16 years later we are married for a decade and have two children. I won’t know if they have a stutter until they think they do, and I hope they don’t, but if they do, I know I’m well equipped to help them adapt to life being different. But I definitely respect anyone’s choice to not have children out of the fear of passing along certain conditions or traits.
