I can relate...I honestly don't have that many friends now, but that's sort of my choice because I'd rather study / learn than waste time with most people. What does "being out there enjoying life" mean to you? Playing guitar and singing? Leading a volunteer group for social justice? Going to dance clubs and getting drunk? Becoming one of the best small-business financing experts? Or, is it about feeling popular and respected by other people, and it doesn't matter what you do? If you have some activity you want to do, start doing it or learning more about it. If you want to feel respected, spend time with people who are slightly less successful than you, and work on making yourself better.
