I’ve been trying something called shadowing with my son, who struggles with reading. He reads out loud right after me, almost at the same time, and it helps him follow the words and feel more confident. At first it felt a bit awkward because he kept giggling and losing track, but once he got into it, it really started improving his fluency and focus. To make it even more engaging, we use a headset that lets him hear his own voice clearly, and that made all the difference. He started matching tone and rhythm better, and now he actually enjoys reading out loud on his own.
