I started stuttering when I was 18, I was in a lot of stress at the time, I failed my driving licence several times... It was the opposite for me, I stuttered the most when talking to friends and family, but when a teacher asked me something, I could answer fluently. And after about three weeks it just faded away. I am 20 now and I speak mostly fine, but the stutter returns now and then, mostly during or after something stressful and for a few days I stutter and then it goes away again At first it was quite bad because people instead of listening what I was trying to say reacted to me stuttering and I had to have the same conversation with everybody - yes I stutter now, no, I don't know why; but now they are used to it so it is not a big deal for me anymore. I am really glad there is somebody else who this happened to, in the beginning I was really stressed out about it and I couldn't find anything about it on the internet :)
