Playback a recording of yourself during a phone call Hi, As most of us here, I'm a stutterer, with avoidance tendencies, especially towards making calls... Talking face to face is less of a problem for some reason. Unfortunately, I have to make more and more calls at work, which I unfortunately can not avoid anymore. Some of these calls sentences are somewhat predictable (introductions, saying your name, asking questions, etc), so I have been thinking about recording myself before the call and then playing it back on the phone somehow... Considering most of us don't stutter when talking to ourselves and that phone is a pretty common nightmare for most of us, especially starting a conversation, or introducing ourselves, I thought this method would be more widespread but I couldn't see any reference of it anywhere. I find it hard to believe nobody had this idea before. Did anyone here try to do this and if so, how successful was it? What were the problems you encountered and what were the tools (software or hardware) and techniques that helped with this? Thanks.
