It's a weird feeling eh? I actually don't even remember stuttering in grades 1-8, but when I ask my old friends if I stuttered they all said yes which is really strange. However I do remember one moment when I was like 8 and I asked my mum why I talked funny. Not sure if I just made up that scenario in my head or it actually happened. I too was a really social kid too though. Used to hang out at the sporting grounds a lot with friends, go to the beach. Then all of a sudden it just happened I guess. Same here. No one knows that I stutter except for my parents and a friend of mine. Funnily enough, everyone around me just thinks I'm painfully socially awkward, not a stutterer. It's amazing how I went through 3 years of senior school without my friendship group labelling me as a stutterer (except for when I read out aloud in class people would love to glare at me *because it was ever so fascinating to see a kid helplessly reading*).
