Maybe there's some correlation with the way some PWS can speak fluently when they can't hear themselves? (Like in The King's Speech, how Albert speaks fluently when he wears the headphones. I've heard of this effect happening in reality). Like, when you were tripping, your brain wasn't really perceiving the words you were saying, just like when you can;t hear yourself, your brain isn't perceiving? Just a thought.
