It is possible to overcome stuttering and speak fluently. Once you stop seeing stuttering as "I am the way I am because I stutter" and see it as "I stutter because I am the way I am" you can start to make changes that will help you overcome your stammer. I suggest you all read the book "redefining stuttering" by John C. Harrison it will change your outlook on the way you view stuttering. You can sit there and pout all you want, it will not change a thing. Stuttering is more than just a speech problem. I didn't even want to make this post because there is a lot of negativity on this sub, where a lot of people do not even want to recognize they have problems other than stuttering, and they think that if they didn't stutter their problems would magically go away, but I realized I use to be one of those people to but if I can change my mindset then maybe if even one person can benefit from this post and go on to a fluent life, this was worth it.
