Hi! Thanks for your reply. I have had the same Dr since I was almost a child, she knows my Journey with stuttering. We have a very open discussion about medications and have developed a very good relationship over the years. She prescribed me Alprazolam in the past, many years ago, which I abused. I was young, dumb and didnt have anything to care for. Now I have kids, a job and studying. I cant afford to abuse this chance I have been given. Also, Im terryfied of becoming heavly addicted, withdrawal was a terror. Do mind that I took Xanax, Klonopin and Valium at HIGH doses for several years at that time. Well, to your question, prior to me getting the script I was taking 10mg every third days for a little over a week. Now I have a script of 25 x 5mg. That is also a good start because I know it would be easy to start taking it too often if I had a jar of 100, 10mgs. So far in this short time, no tolerance and a 10mg dose gives me a somewhat effect even the day after. My plan is to take this at work or other highly socialy demanding situations. Since I upped my dose to 100mg Sertraline I could not get a word out without stuttering, it got that bad. Since I added Diazepam I stutter minor to moderate again. I will stick to Zoloft for a couple more weeks until I reevaluate my SSRI choice. Paxil was a god for socialy anxious situations but it made me unable to orgasm and I was sleeping away my life. Anxiety and stress fuels my stutter and I hope that once the SSRI settles I will be even more fluent. Do you take any antidepressants? :)
