Beta blockers are most used to manage abnormal heart rhythms (I get bad palpitations and SVT episodes). Beta blockers do calm my heart, but I honestly haven't noticed much increase in fluency while on them. I definitely wouldn't think to use them for anxiety, not very effective for that.
