I am just wondering if other people have the same average times between stuttering as me... I can generally go for 30 minutes of speaking between stutters and sometimes it can be hours and hours of fluent speech. Reading out loud and speaking loudly/clearly increases my chances of stuttering a lot and talking on the phone makes me stutter at least once a minute or more. I am thankful that my stutter is not more frequent but having such a low frequency can create unforeseen problems. Like I can meet someone and see them a few times before I will actually stutter badly which increases the chance they will laugh because they believe it to be a fluke thing. I have had people know me for a long time without knowing that I stuttered because it doesn't happen to pop up in the conversations that I have with them. Anyways, most of the people I encountered in group therapy had a much higher frequency of stuttering than me and so I was just wondering if there is anyone with such a low frequency as I have.
