I hate how stuttering affects my ability to be funny/tell jokes So much of being funny generally comes down to the timing of things when you say them. Having a stutter, I tend to trip over words until the appropriate time to make a joke has passed, and then it is too late. The conversation has moved on and it would be weird now if I still proceeded with the joke. It is so frustrating because I get ideas in my head for various random jokes or whatever silly thing to say, but because of my stutter I often miss out on saying them, which as a result makes me appear more boring and less fun to be around I think. There of course other things that bother me about having a stutter too, but this is a point I haven’t seen brought up before and I was wondering if others could relate to it.
