Just noting that it is very difficult to find a “right” path. Even then, you will not know. The child’s brain needs to NOT reinforce itself, such as giving the brain any situation or reason to stutter. It will create massive insecurities and make stuttering much worse. I suggest you read “How to Stop Stuttering and Love Speaking” Lee Lovett. It’ll help you dive into a stuttering brain. I wish my parents could have read this. They tried what they thought was best, but ultimately had zero understanding and nothing worked. It’s important for you to put yourself in your child’s brain. It’s forming habits and defense mechanisms right now. You CAN help mold it. The life of a stutterer is hard. Do what you can. I wish you the best.
