You are looking at the path I went on. It's unconventional but the experts have proven to us that conventional doesn't work with stuttering. The "experts" are guessing, they know only from observation of others. The stuttering mind is such a delicate and slippery slope. What's the main difference between a person who stutters and one who does not? What they think before they speak or even about speaking. Every thought about it, feared words, feared situations and the self-identity that we create around it. What if you could slowly over time dissolve this? How would you do that? Don't try too hard just keep continually looking the other way. There is a structure you've built in your mind that support stuttering and it is all encompassing; words, thoughts, emotions, physical feelings, visuals, environments, people etc. If you remove attention from it over time the structure will break down and ultimately dissolve, it took me years but it simply went away.
